It's just around Thanksgiving and all the leaves on the ground are crisp. *crunch crunch crunch* You pass some friendly faces and give a few nods. A group standing outside a bookstore wave at you and yell "Hi Sam! What's up?" [[Shout back. -> story2]] [[Smile and wave. -> story3]] </div>

<div class = "box"> You continue your walk and come to the main street. [[Turn left -> story4]] [[Turn right -> story4]] </div>

<div class = "box"> After you walk down the street some more you turn left into your apartment building. You scan your student ID by the door and wait for the beep then open the door. You climb 6 flights of stairs and walk down a narrow hallway lined with doors. [[Next -> story5]] </div>

<div class = "box"> The apartments you pass have general living noises coming from them and you can smell something sweet as if someone had lit a candle or were baking. You stop in front of a door with the wooden letter H on it. Apart from the H the only other thing that distinguished this door from others are the shoes lined outside of it and some small circular pins on the door frame. The circular pins featured many things like a rainbow flag, a South African flag, a German flag, a Singapore flag, a Spanish flag, and and some memes. You fumble in your pocket for your keys. <div class = "box"> Upon opening the door you’re greeted by your roommate who is sitting on the sofa reading a book. Morgan: “Hey Sam! How’re you doing today?” “Hi Morgan! I’m- [[doing fine -> story7]] [[feeling kind of tired, honestly. -> story7]] "What about you?" </div>

What are your plans for the day?” “I think I’m gonna make something to eat and then later I have a meeting with my lab.” Morgan: “You work with Professor Smith right? I’ve heard a lot about him but never met him. What do you think of him?” “He’s been a good mentor so far. You remember you can’t be late because a visiting professor will be joining the meeting today. On your laptop, you see a message notification of an article that Robert has sent in the lab group chat last night. You meant to read it, but fell asleep before you could. <div class = "box"> The article is about a lawsuit against Harvard University, alleging that the school discriminates against Asian American applicants in the admissions process, and holds Asian American students to a higher standard than others in the admissions process. You read in the article that the judge has ruled in favor of Harvard University. After reading the article, you decide to send a text to Mia. “Wow did you all read the article Robert sent?” “Which one is that?” Mia responds. “The one about how to advocacy group Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) sued Harvard University for considering race too much and discriminating against Asian American applicants, and the judge ruling in favor of Harvard.” Mia: “Oh yeah! I meant to ask you guys about that earlier! What did you think of it?” [[Next... -> question1]] </div>

Tables are full and noise is bustling as you scan the room, looking for your peers. Out of the corner of your eye, you see a hand waving and it’s not long before you realize the hand is waving at you. It’s Robert, one of the lab members. you recognize the faces of the rest of the lab as you steadily walk over to their table, slipping and weaving past occupied chairs and other customers patrolling the space. Let’s have everyone go around real quick and discuss future plans and aspirations after you graduate, and maybe Dr. Avery can give some input as well!” Professor Smith glances at Robert. “Robert, how about we start with you?” Robert straightens up a bit “Sure, um... For me, I’d like to start off a career in web services, and maybe work on game development on the side or in my free time.” “That’s really cool, Robert!” Dr. Avery exclaims. I have a friend in game development working at an ed-tech firm in New York. Let me know if you’d like me to connect you guys.” “Thanks Dr. Avery!
